I may consider moving them into Elemental Warding or EotS since I do some PvP, too, but that discussion is irrelevant for a pure PvE spec.įor Glyphs, I don't think there is any argument against Glyph of Flame Shock and Glyph of Lava being the 2 best. You might argue that the improvement is so small that it's not worth it, but where else would you spend your points? For raiding, every single little buff is relevant. The buff to Flametongue Totem is of course useless (Totem of Wrath), but the tanks and melee/Hunters will benefit from Strenght of Earth.
The 2 points in Enhancing Totems is an interesting choice, that I could imagine most Shamans don't even consider. I choose 1 filler-point in Elemental Warding since I believe that the damage-reduction will be better than EotS' pushback-reducing for most fights. The 1 point in Elemental Warding is a filler, and may be placed in another talent (EotS fx). I don't think there is a "perfect" Elemental raid spec, but I think we should all be able to agree that this 55/14 spec (2 points left) is the basic build: Maybe if you are doing a lot of magma,nova totem dropping on trash, but on bosses at least you should be using totem of wrath anyways I thought being resto was crazy mana regen, i went elemental for fun and couldnt dump my mana fast enough with all the crits You really get use out of 10% reduction in mana cost on totems? I like the water breathin/walking ones cause those reagents are annoying to find and they're quite handy spells to have to hand Though Water shield is by far the best minor glyph. take it until you get the one of those 3 listed in replacement.

If you have a free spot and are offered one for free. But it's dwarfed by those three quite largely. Only the major ones are important and as previously stated you want "Lightning Bolt", "Lava" and "Flame Shock".įlamethougue isn't useless. May have missed something out but got all the main damage talents and stuff. So 10% mana reduction on totems is nice as it lowers downtime in a small scale. The reason i'm not using eye of the storm is because I raid with a Paladin who keeps concentration aura up.
